Dakota sunscreen roller blinds — a premium NZ-made sunscreen range with a refined woven jacquard fabric texture that reduces glare and UV while preserving your view. The Dakota Collection by Texstyle is an elegant 3,000mm-wide screen with subtle colour contrast and textural interest.
Every Dakota sunscreen blind is custom-made to your exact window measurements — a made-to-measure sheer roller blind with premium NZ-made construction.
Key features
Available in 6 contemporary colours with the option of combining as a combo blind with any blockout blind for day-and-night versatility. Reduces UV and heat by up to 97% while allowing soft, filtered light into the room. Suitable for daytime privacy on north and west-facing windows.
The jacquard weave gives the Dakota a more textured, premium appearance compared to standard plain-weave sunscreen fabrics.
NZ-made roller blinds including the Dakota can be upgraded with battery-powered or hardwired 230v motorisation — motorised blinds for hard-to-reach windows and smart home integration.

Have a question about Roller Blinds?
A 1% openness blocks the most light and UV while still allowing a faint view through. A 5% openness provides a clearer outward view with good glare reduction. A 10% openness maximises visibility but reduces less glare. For most living rooms, 5% is the most popular choice.
Sunscreen blinds provide daytime privacy when it is brighter outside than inside. At night, when interior lights are on, people outside can see in through the mesh. For nighttime privacy, pair sunscreen blinds with a blockout roller or curtain.
Dakota is a premium woven fabric with a refined texture and consistent colour. It is manufactured in New Zealand, which means faster lead times.
Blinds ordered at separate times may not colour match perfectly. We strongly recommend that all blinds for one room are ordered at the same time.
Blinds between 6sqm & 8sqm are more difficult to operate. They may be hard to lift & lower for users who are not physically strong. Roller tube deflection & fabric bagging may also be an issue.
Blinds over 8sqm are not within warranty. The tube will deflect and the fabric will bag. We recommend using a Link Bracket.
Mechanisms & Brackets– The standard mechanism is UNIFLEX in White, Black, Cream and Grey.
Bottom rails – Standard is for Dual Bottom rail with either the Curved or Flat side on the front of the blind. Dual Rail Colours are White, Black, Cream & Anodised.
Chains – Standard chains are Continuous Plastic Chains in either White, Black, Cream or Grey. Stainless Steel is available which attracts a surcharge.
