Flow 5% Sunscreen Roller Blinds — Soluna™

A 5% openness factor means 5% of the fabric surface is open weave. This lets filtered light and a view through the blind while blocking 95% of UV rays. It is the most popular openness for residential living rooms and home offices.

Soluna™ is NZ Blinds’ imported blind range. These products are manufactured overseas and offer the same quality construction at a lower price point compared to NZ-made options.

Both are sunscreen roller blinds, but the Dakota is NZ-made with a premium woven fabric and 3-year warranty. The Flow is an imported alternative at a lower price with a 5-year warranty. Performance is similar — the main difference is fabric texture, price and warranty length.

Yes. All Soluna (imported) roller blinds can be upgraded to motorised operation. The AutoWand option adds a built-in rechargeable motor from $90 — no electrical wiring needed. For NZ-made rollers, battery-powered and hardwired 230v motorisation options are also available. Motorised blinds are ideal for hard-to-reach windows, large openings and smart home setups.

Blinds ordered at separate times may not colour match perfectly. We strongly recommend that all blinds for one room are ordered at the same time.
Blinds between 6sqm & 8sqm are more difficult to operate. They may be hard to lift & lower for users who are not physically strong. Roller tube deflection & fabric bagging may also be an issue.
Blinds over 8sqm are not within warranty. The tube will deflect and the fabric will bag. We recommend using a Link Bracket.
